Victory Road

So, some of you might know I did a little walking trip from UTS Tower Building to North Sydney Train Station and back. On the outside it might look like some fitness walk or something, but honestly this trip has another meaning.
So, how do I start, back in 2010, me and a friend met up for some reason which I forgot, but most likely it was study related. So we walked from UTS to Darling Harbour for a light walk, after looking at some coastal area, she had an idea of walking to Harbour Bridge, me with nothing else to suggest and having lots of free time, yet don't want to study agreed to do so, so the route we took was follow the shoreline from Darling Harbour to the Harbour Bridge, eventually finishing off at Milsons Point Train Station. It was a fun walk to be honest, especially how we both find lots of funny curious things, such as the huge under bridge which echoes if we talk, the roundabout with the crush car and some awesome light show that you can see at night during the rain.
We were quite close at that time, very close friend...I eventually had a crush on her few days before xmas and got rejected, but leave that as a secret between who ever saw this and now......
But recently things change, we've grown a bit distant, she finds me annoying at times, yet I eventually find her annoying at times too. When I look back at that memory its sad to see that we aren't that close anymore.
So I did a move, I'm going to overwrite this part of the memory...

To help you understand I'm gonna talk about how my memory/brain works, usually an item or event reminds you of a specific person or/and memory. So for the incident mentioned above, the route I took would be the significant reminder. So in order to overwrite it, it would be to retake the route. Sounds stupid, but it's done already. It might not fully work, but at least it'll remind you of something else, in this case the Victory Road.

So, on the day of the walk, I retook that path and expanded further by walking all the way to North Sydney train station and back to UTS Tower Building. Therefore completing my so called Victory Road.

Why was it called Victory Road?
It's to mark the first task I did by forcing myself to do it, instead of listening to my lazy self. Like I said, I bloodied forced myself, I had the cold on the day as well, there was also prediction of heavy rain the night before, which I mentally forced myself no matter what weather or condition, I'm going. Might sound foolish, but forcing myself to do this eventually got me getting things done, instead of having unfinished tasks. There might be drawbacks such as getting injured, but at least I got things done, overcome obstacles and try to make myself better.

Better than staying put and not make myself a better person, while I see everyone moving forward in their life...

Keep an eye on this spot, next week there will be photos of the walk + descriptions
